Kingfisher Roadhouse in Cooper Landing

Fantastic menu with delicious food. It was difficult to decide between Mushroom Risotto, Chicken Pot Pie, Blue Cheese Sirloin Burger or Halibut Cheeks. Waitress walked by with plates of Scallops that sealed the deal. Probably best Scallops I have ever had!

One of the best restaurants so far in Alaska! We had the smoked salmon dip as an appetizer (I want the recipe)....for dinner we had the sockeye salmon bowl (amazing) and the bleu cheese burger with bacon and the mushroom burger (my boys ordered two, even though they were huge) and for dessert we had a homemade key lime pie and a large chocolate chip cookie with vanilla icecream and caramel and fudge . Delicious!!!!!

Friendly people, great homemade food with flair! Atmosphere is warm and friendly with excellent food. Pricey but worth the trip.

After lots of mountain exploration, the dinner was delicious. The service was good. It was pricey but absolutely worth it! This is the best place in the area for dining. I'll never forget the salmon and the halibut. The bathroom layout and design needs improvement though.

Amazing food. I can't believe we discovered such a gem in Cooper Landing. I had the halibut cheek stew. Amazing.

The atmosphere of this place is nice. But the food was just okay, and I found it highly overpriced for the quality, even by Alaskan standards. Also the service was extremely slow. By the time our food arrived it had gotten cold.

You have to try the foragers pizza on mushroom crust, it's to die for!! Everything is house made and they take pride in their unique dishes with fantastic flavors!

A very nice atmosphere ,and the food was very delightful. The chef is very creative ,and you can tell she loves what she does. I highly recommend this place. Very pleasant experience

Note - open summer season only, closes early OctoberHad the good fortune to pop in for a brew and venison slider after hiking near Skilak lake. Looking forward to returning and trying more. Outdoor covered deck overlooking water with pingpong table - great eclectic northern decor.

Last second choice after kayaking, was great! Good food, good atmosphere, right on the Kenai lake. Recommended!

Great place to relax and enjoy wonderful food and views. Staff is friendly and helpful. Truly a tiny gem tucked in the mountains.

A bit high on the price side, the menu is ok with good food quality.. service is also a thing to improve, don't expect quick service though they are very friendly and courteous.

This place is legit. If you’re driving from homer to anchorage or V/V this place is a hidden gem. The food is great and the view is hard to beat.

Nice view, good location. Not a family friendly dining place, has little to no kid options. Might be better for an upscale dinner date.

Good live entertainment

Good place to stop an hour from Kenai/Soldotna. Not cheap--entrees will hit you $20 to 30 range--for not that much food, but flavors are interesting and a grade above your standard Alaska dining menu. Kids menu was great, including homemade pb&j with fruit. Would stop again.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, beautiful views and good vibes.

Great setting, however myself and one other in our party were served undercooked food. Nothing like a mouthful of cold raw chicken to turn you off your dinner. The good service provided by staff saved this place from a one star rating.

Quaint, homemade from fresh food, wonderful comfort dishes, great service, beautiful authentic Alaskan interior decor, lovely beer garden overlooking the lake nestled in the majestic mountains. $$$$ pricey. But to be fair, all freshly made, even homemade ice cream!

Don't judge a book by its cover. Good beer, great atmosphere, and a great back patio area for those sunny days. Right on the lake.

Excellent food but expensive. Two crab cakes the size of a silver dollar for$20.00. The Hunter's pie was very good.

Great food. Loved the salmon dip and the stroganoff. Update: we came again the next year and the food was still pretty good but the entire menu changed which was slightly disappointing because there was so many favorites on the old menu. The burger on the new menu is really good so it's definitely worth trying

A MUST visit if anywhere near Kenai Lake or Coopers Landing - the most breathtaking views with great food and fantastic service. Definitely go outside and sit on little deck to take in the views and enjoy the brews.

Food was excellent! View is amazing and worth eating there just for that. Only 4 stars cause I don’t think the menu was vast enough to offer something to everyone. Would like to see just a regular cheeseburger or BLT sandwich to be sure I can accommodate anyone I had with me and I didn’t like the lack of fountain drinks either. Overall a very positive experience!

This is a wonderful restaurant. While the menu is small, it's perfectly executed. Caribou Stroganoff, Venison Tacos, and Salmon Rice Bowl are all amazing. The view was outstanding.

I've been going to the Kingfisher for years and have praised therm to my friends and family, until tonight. I understand bad or marginal service, this happens, it is towards the end of the season in Alaska and everyone is tired. I would never expect this kind of food to come out of that kitchen. What wasn't burnt was cold. We took a few bites and took the rest home to the pets. I would have to assume they have lost their chef.

Best food in Coopers Landing

We didn't eat here, but we went inside where nobody was wearing a mask and they had TV stating their "facts" about how mask are causing CO2 poisoning and other BS. We were wearing our masks and were never greeted. We promptly left once we realized what was going on.

Amazing food! Had the special of halibut cheeks in a pasta dish and cannot recommend highly enough! Always get the bread basket of delicious sourdough bread to start!

Great casual dining with full liquor bar. Occasionally hosts live music. Professional, friendly service by waitstaff and bartenders. A favorite with locals for happy hour and eclectic menu for foodies.

Had the Glacial IPA, Salmon Chowder, and Venison Tacos. All were really good! Staff were nice and has a good view. Would recommend.
